Building a better service for a smarter product

2017

Connected Services is a pilot program that UTC CCSi are looking to implement across the UAE, India and Spain. This service connects existing data points (Chillers, CRM, Work Orders, etc.) and processes this information into a dashboard displaying analytics with actionable tasks.

Our task was to meet with customers (companies, and levels within those companies), and observe them in the field (one-to-one) to understand what they appreciate about UTCs offerings and points of differentiation.

The goal of this immersion is to have a well-defined set of customer needs that will allow us to translate these needs into visualised solutions / prototypes in the design sprint.

A Neural Network to translate resolutions

For the coming year Booking.com encoured everyone to make reservations not resolutions, to make 2016 their Best 2016 Ever. We built a tool that does just this; the Resolution Translator, an interactive site that translates tedious resolutions into affirming travel based goals. Because why would you want to just lose weight, when you can loose weight and then commit to show off your hot new bod in Costa Rica?

To celebrate the new 007 film, Spectre, the first ever selfie was taken from space. In case you’ve never taken a selfie from space, you need: A Satellite (to take a photo at the exact right moment), The Hoover Dam (for an epic location), Dune Buggies (to get everyone there), and Influencers sharing with everyone.

A charitable platform connecting the creative community

2015

The first challenge for the platform, which launched on December 2015, was to raise money for those affected by the refugee crisis unfurling across Europe.

Over 60 artists from around the world created and donated artworks to our site www.letsgiveafuck.org – over 100 specially crafted one-off or limited edition pieces that represent or feature ‘a fuck’.

The project that transformed paper into Legends. In support of global non-profit, Reporters Without Borders, we partnered with 40 legendary individuals from the worlds of sport, entertainment and art to create Heineken’s Legendary Posters. More than just pieces of paper, each poster travelled the world, met extraordinary people and lived through amazing experiences. From the one that voyaged to space to the one that was burnt on a volcano in Iceland, each poster came back with its own story to tell.

Robots, social media, spray cans and three of the world’s leading design creatives came together in Auckland's Semi-Permanent to create what’s believed to be the world’s first art painted by Twitter­-controlled bots.

Barcelona graphic designer and illustrator Alex Trochut, Melbourne design studio SouthSouthWest and New York artist, designer and printmaker Kelli Anderson – all speaking at Semi­Permanent – are lending their support by gifting bespoke stencils that will be affixed over three giant canvases.
